when I try to open the SIL Editor (in the Menu Tools/TsiLangExpert, I'm getting the Message:

Using Delphi menu Tools | TsiLang Expert you should be able to open TsiLang Expert not the SIL Editor. TsiLang Expert will help you to manage your project's translations easier and faster.
As to the error it is very strange and we can't find a reason for that. May be you can try to re-install TsiLang to check if the error will gone.
Do you have any "special" 3rd party packages installed?

Two questions:
1- Are you not instead talking about opening the "Translation Editor" instead of the "Sil Editor"? They have similar look and feel, but they are two different applications.
2- Are you using a "Full Source" package or the "DCU Only"? The latter got a few packaging problem in the past... may be you found another one?

But first, as Igor said, you should check for 3rd party application that could have corrupted your Delphi environment. Easy to test: on a fresh computer, install only Delphi then TsiLang. If the problem is still there, The latter has a problem. Otherwise, the problem is in your side

I thought that would be the same program, sorry.
I have the dcu only version, installed it new but still the same Error.

I have some Components installed (BusinessSkinForm) and the GEexpert.

Don't be sorry, it's confusing (I did the same mistake two years ago )

First of all, I would strongly suggest that you buy one registered copy of the Full Source version of TsiLang. Then you would be able to trace the code and find where it fails... Here, we would not succeed without it.

However, without tracing teh source, here are some tips that you can try to find where your integration problem comes from.

I would first try re-installation on a fresh computer which does not have neither Delphi nor any 3rd party Components installed yet.

A) Install Delphi then a trial version of a previous version of TsiLang, such as 6.4. And test to see if the problem is still there with one of the Delphi demo application (I had to do that many times in 2008 ).

B1) Test A) is OK:
If the Translation Editor works well with fresh Delphi and TsiLang 6.4, then try upgrading to TsiLang 6.5 to see if the problem comes back (I suppose that this the version that you are using). If the problem unfortunately comes back with 6.5, then return to Igor...

C1) If TsiLang 6.5 works well without your BusinessSkinForm and GEexpert, try installing them one at the time and retest the demo application each time, adding some of their stuff to the demo application... When the problem pops again, ask the author of that package what they could have done that prevents running TsiLang...

B2) Test A) failed:
If the problem occurs with only Delphi and Tsilang 6.4 installed, try intalling them on an English Windows and test again. Here it is what we use, and it works OK

By the way, it would also be usefull to Igor if you tell him which versions of Delphi and TsiLang you are using.

first: thanx for the Answers!

I use the last release of tsLang in Delphi2007.
As suggested, I test it with a fresh delphi installation. The trial Version works, but the Full Version not, even without any new Compos or GE expert.

Question: What do you call "Full version"?
The 6.5 Full Source or the 6.5 DCU Only?

Did you tried the same thing on a PC running English Windows?
By the way, which is your version of Windows, XP, Vista or 7?

Here we are still with WinXP, Delphi 7 and TsiLang 6.4

Yes, I tryed enlish and german Windows.
I have only 2 PC's with Windows 7.

Does this error ossurs when open TsiLang Expert with some specific project or any?
Please try to open TsiLang Expert on new project which is just created.

It even happened by opening with a new project...

It is really strange. I don't have any idea what could be causing that.
