SIComponents setup crashes on Windows Server 2008

Post by galdur »

Windows Server 2008 informs me that the setup ceased to respond when I try to install it.

I tried running the registration key and running the setup again, doesn't work.

Is there any way to manually extract the files?

There is no way to manually extract the source files. You can try to Run as Administrator.

I'm the administrator user. Nevertheless, I tried the 'run as administrator' option, same crash.

Could you please try to install trial version of the latest version available on our web site? May be this is an issue with install script and it was fixed in recent install compiler.

We've tested the latest setup under Windows 2008 Server Standard and it worked just fine.

Small details: You need to turn OFF DEP (which is ON by default).
We will try to improve this in order to work without turning oFF the DEP.
