Best way to update SIL file

Post by webdev »

Hello,

I'm still new to TsiLang, so excuse me if you find this is a silly question.

I used TsiLang wizard to translate all my forms and text, and save all the text into one SIL file(using Save project from TsiLang Expert), now when I new components I can't see them to that SIL file or can't add them to it

what's the wrong in that?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Just save project again into this SIL file and it will be update. TsiLang doesn't update SIL\SIB files automatically.

Thanks Igor,

The problem that the translation.sil has already translated, now i add more text to the application, I need the translation.sil file to have all the new texts items already add, beside the old one with translations

when I save the project again, I got new empty one with only the english text as caption(lose all the translation)

I hope i'm clear now

Then you can either load translations.sil into project and save it back (this will "merge" older and new elements) or just save your project into another SIL and merge two SILs using SIL Editor menu File | Merge.
Hope this helps.
