Hi.
I was thinking of sending the editor together with a sil file to my client in iran so he can translate the strings to persian and then send them back.
I did a dry run and sent the .exe and .sil file to a random computer here in the office and when it was opened all the default fonts and charsets were missing, so i had to manually input them.
English Tahoma Default
Persian Tahoma Arabic
1) Where are these settings saved so i can send them with the package?
2) Should I not use default for english but maybe ANSI?
3) Are there any problems I should consider with this translation approach?
TsiLlang editor default font
Hello,
1. These settings are stored in Registry. You can export [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SiComponents\TsiLang\EditorForm] key to REG file and import it on target PC.
2. Actually, all charsets support English, so you can use either Default or ANSI.
3. There should be no problem with such approach. You can also send to your translator SIL Editor's setup, which is available from TsiLang download page.
