Trouble with Windows 2003

Post by rdtechno »

Since several years we use with success Scheduling agent in our backup applications. There is no problem with Windows 2000 or XP (except usual Windows limitation).
The application is used by thousands including big companies with thousands of copies.
But from time to time we got some reports with trouble scheduling tasks. It is always with Windows 2003.
The first sympton is a crash of an application called Planner. In the Planner module we connect the application with the scheduler when the main window is displayed through a postmessage when the Onformshow event is fired. This code works with 2000 and XP.
The second sympton when a task is created is that nothing happens. The task is launched but seems to be freezed.

Customer is located in Asia, so there are some delays in response.
Have you any idea ?

Hello,

We've tested Scheduler component under Windows 2003 Server and unfortunately, found no problem. The demo application works just fine. The only point is that tasks need actual user name and password assigned, otherwise it doesn't start. Could you please send your user demo application included in VCL Scheduling Agent delivery and ask if it works for them? In case it works this would mean there are some problems in your code accessing Scheduler.
Best regards,
Igor Siticov.
