Error Importing csv or xls

I'm trying to import an excel file into the SilEditor, but keep getting an error message: Error importing <my filename>

The format was obtained by exporting to an excel file from SilEditor, (using the Silfile created by the Expert with Export Project) and then using a translator to fill in the columns for the other languages (I'm using SYSTran Office).

So I have a column for IDs, and one for each language, with row sections for caption, collections etc separated by the section name.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong please?
